Today's lunch: 4 small slices fresh mozzarella, chopped fresh basil, one peeled farmer's market tomato.
I was able to finish half of this, and the tomato, though delicious, isn't sitting well. Now I know why people wait 3 months before trying salad. Next time I do this, it'll be with canned tomato.
Hi. I see you haven't posted in a while. I hope you are doing well. I have one more week to go on soft solids and your posts are a lifesaver! Thanks so much for posting. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI know you posted this a while back... but I used to have mozerella and tomato as a snack a lot, prior to surgery, but also tried it at a couple months out - and it was super uncomfortable. (I have the vertical sleeve gastrectomy) The key for me now, (I am 8 months post-op) is to cut the pieces very small (of both the tomato and moz) and CHEW CHEW CHEW!!! I have had it now in between, and as long as the pieces are small enough, and I chew really well - I'm good! Sometimes I screw up, and still take too big of a bite, or don't chew it enough - but it was a yummy enough thing to try again at further out - so maybe it will work this way for you too. :-)

Hi Donna, I just found your blog through another one I Follow, and I am now Following you too!!
ReplyDeleteI had Lap Band Surgery on 11/19/09 and I have lost 59 lbs. I wish that the Sleeve had been available to me when I had my Surgery, as I would have chose it instead....
